Monday, June 23– Sectional Qualifying Round (36 Holes)

Groupings & Starting Times

Starting times start at 7:30 a.m. from No. 1 only.

Practice Round:

Only ONE practice round is available to those competitors in the qualifier. Tee time reservations may be by calling the Adams Pointe Golf Shop (816) 220-3673. Times are available during the week and on Sunday after 2:00 p.m. The practice round is complimentary; however, you are responsible for any practice range or food & beverage fees incurred during the practice round.

Lodging:

There are numerous hotels in the area with a variety of rates. Adjacent to the property is a Courtyard. To find what best suites your needs look online at www.visitkc.com then select accommodations. The course is in the Truman Sports Complex/East area.

Registration:

There is no formal registration on site. A Notice to Competitors and hole location sheet will be available at the starting tee. Important: Report to the starting tee each day no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time. There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.

Practice Range:

The practice range will open 1 hour before the first starting time. Range balls will be set up at the practice range and are complimentary for competitors prior to their round.

Food & Beverage:

The local committee has made arrangements to provide a complimentary lunch to the players. All caddies and spectators are responsible for their own purchases.

General Information:

The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf. Local Rules of the host course do not apply. The KCGA Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions. Reference to the Rules and Appendix I, may be found in the 2008-09 Rules of Golf book. Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: 2 Strokes.

Transportation and Caddies:

The use of a golf carts for players, caddies or spectators is prohibited. Caddies are permitted for this qualifier. A player may not use a parent, step-parent or guardian as a caddie.

Cellular Phones:

The use of portable telecommunications equipment is prohibited during the stipulated rounds.

Attire & Conduct:

Proper golf attire is required. Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops are prohibited. Shorts must be mid-thigh. Golf shirt must have a collar. The course is a “spikeless facility”; hence, traditionally designed spikes are prohibited.

Qualifying Positions:

This site has been allocated two (2) qualifying positions. In addition to the qualifiers, two (2) alternate positions will be determined. Should you qualify or earn an alternate position, you must accept your position and pick up the Memorandum to Contestants from Phil Miller before you leave the qualifying site.

Play-off:

In the event of any tie for the last qualifying place or any of the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a sudden death play-off. The starting time and starting hole shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results.

Withdrawals:

You must contact the USGA or Steve McMillen (913) 649-5242 ext. 1 if you must withdraw. A competitor who fails to notify the either the USGA or Steve McMillen of his withdrawal or who fails to notify the Committee of his withdrawal during the event is subject to a disciplinary actions by the USGA. If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 on June 20, please call (913) 484-1844. This is a KCGA mobile phone. If you get the voice mail then please leave a message.

Close of Competition:

The qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
