Regan Wins Women's Amatuer

Michelle Regan of Prairie Village shot a 36-hole total of 151 to win the Kansas City Women's Amateur.  Regan won by 2 shots over Jennifer Clark of Kansas City.  Clark pulled within one shot of Regan after shooting a 38 on the front nine but lost ground when Regan who shot even par the final nine made back to back birdies on holes 11 and 12. Both Regan and Clark shot tournament low 75's in the final round.

In the Players Divison, Meredith Beykirk of Overland Park continued the good play from her final nine holes of the first round to post a 36-hole total of 169, which was good for a two shot victory over Donna Nelson.  On the net side of the Players Division, Jennifier Sumner shot a career low round of 94, which turned into a net 60 to win the Net Championship.

The Kansas City Women's Amateur is open to any female who has a USGA Handicap at a KCGA member club. The Championship has two division; Open and Players. Players has both net and gross scoring and is played from a more traditional length of tees.
